How to Join PEC

Follow these simple steps to resign from your current party and register as a PEC member via ORPP (USSD or online).

Join via Website

Option A — Using the ORPP USSD code *509#

  1. Dial *509# on your mobile phone.
  2. If you are a first-time user, follow the prompts to register by entering your national ID number and your first name as it appears on the ID.
  3. You’ll receive an ORPP PIN via SMS.
  4. Dial *509# again and enter your PIN.
  5. Select “Membership” from the menu.
  6. Choose Option 3: “Resign” to formally leave your current party.
  7. Confirm your details to complete the resignation process.

Option B — Online via the ORPP Portal

  1. Visit the Integrated Political Parties Management System (IPPMS) at ippms.orpp.or.ke or log in through eCitizen.
  2. Register or log in using your national ID number and first name.
  3. Navigate to “Membership Resignation” under your account.
  4. Confirm your resignation by following the on-screen prompts and entering the OTP sent to your phone.
  5. Check your registration status to ensure you are no longer affiliated with any political party.
